Meet Our Team

INS staff are exceptional, very well qualified, experienced and long-serving. They routinely receive regular training to ensure they are up to date with the latest educational practices. We work together to create exciting learning experience for our kids. The positive and personal approach used by each member of staff helps INS kids develop a love of learning, and inspires them to excel.

  • Heena Kupolokun
    Head Teacher

      Heena Kupolokun has an extensive background as an educator, teaching children ranging from 2 to 18 years old and has held a variety of roles as a teacher, leader, and curriculum developer in both England and Nigeria. With over 15 years experience she has come to learn that whilst education is constantly evolving children continue to learn in their very own special way provided there is an enabling environment and an ethos of building positive relationships. She is a firm believer that adults who play pivotal roles in the lives of children, should foster an attitude to learn, unlearn and relearn in order for children to gain a love for lifelong learning. She grew up in the UK where she achieved her Bachelor of Arts in Media Performance from the University of Bedfordshire, a Post Graduate Certificate in Further Education at University of Reading, where she gained experience teaching adults with a range of abilities and disabilities and a Post Graduate Certificate in Secondary Education. Being a passionate learner she progressed her learning journey into the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) at Herts for Learning, United Kingdom where she gained a Certificate in Effective Teaching and Learning in Early Years. She relocated to Nigeria in 2016 and enjoys reading, trying food from different cultures and spending time with her family and friends.


  • Vivian Nwachukwu
    Administrator

      Enthusiastic customer service and Administrative professional with over 5 years experience working as a liason between customers and organisations.
      She is personable and professional with a motivated and energetic nature. She has a knack for sales, advertisement and content creation.


  • Lateef Anifowoshe
    IT Support

      Lateef holds a B.sc in Information Technology and Business information System from Middlesex University UK. He also holds an Advanced Diploma in Software Engineering from APTECH Computer Education. He is also a qualified Computer Hardware Engineer with over 7 years experience in providing solutions to hardwares and softwares IT related issues.


  • Helen Ene
    Mickey Class Teacher

      With over 20 years of teaching experience, Helen is passionate and committed to the development of each child. She attained her first degree in Government and Public Administration from the prestigious Abia State University. She is experienced in delivering the EYFS Curriculum and also competent in using the Jolly Phonics methods to teach children how to read. She is friendly, lovely and compassionate.


  • Ogechi Ekwueme
    Mickey Class- Teacher

      Teaching professional with over 8 years of experience working in a nursery section, currently supporting classroom teachers and external coaches during after school activities for ages 2 to 5. With an extensive background in working with young children and hands on experience with the EYFS curriculum. She is able to organise activities so children can learn about the world, explore their unique interest and develop skills. She loves to support with her Art and Craft skills. She is Jolly phonic trained.


  • Patience Ngbadike
    Donald Class- Teacher

      Patience is a teaching professional with over four years’ experience working at Ikoyi Nursery School as a Teacher. With an extensive background in working with young children and hands-on experience with the EYFS curriculum, she is able to contribute immensely to the development and management of the children. She possesses strong arts and craft skills. She recently completed a Nursery Teacher training program.


  • Emmanuella Onwudinjo
    Donald Class - Teacher

      A qualified educationist with a degree in Education and Biology. She loves communicating and interacting with children. She is an advocate of children learning through play. She is a Microsoft certified teacher and she is registered with the Teachers' Registration Council of Nigeria. Currently she is pursuing her Masters Degree in Educational Administration and planning, and she is on the path to acquire her Qualified Teachers Status (QTS) UK. In her spare time, she loves to read, dance and sing.


  • Kate Alhassan
    Goofy Class Teacher

      Kate holds a B.sc in Business Administration and a diploma in Library Science. She loves to work with children in their formative years as she believes getting the foundation right is key to a wholesome child. She is an advocate for early intervention for children with special or additional educational needs. Kate is a mental health awareness enthusiast and an emotional intelligence expert. She is trained in Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) as well as love to spend time sourcing, researching, planning, adapting and implementing curriculum mapping. Kate has over 10 years experience working with children.


  • Joy Ojimadu
    Mickey Class -Teaching Assistant

      Joy has been a teaching assistant over the past seven years. Miss Joy as she is fondly called is much loved by all the children. She engages with the children through play. She takes a lead role in prepping INS's P.E lessons and overall physical development. In her spare time, she enjoys listening to music, dancing and travelling.


  • Anita Ohiero
    Mickey Class -Teaching Assistant

      Anita is a Teaching Assistant professional with experience supporting the classroom teachers. She has an extensive background in working with children and hands-on experience with the EYFS curriculum. She contributes immensely to the development and management of Mickey class.


  • Lorietta Aguodili
    Donald Class- Teaching Assistant

      She is a dedicated preschool teacher with seven years of hands-on experience in Montessori and EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage) environments. She is passionate about nurturing young minds and creating engaging, developmentally appropriate learning experiences. she inspires a love for learning in every child, fostering their cognitive, social and emotional growth. She thrive in fostering a supportive, creative, and inclusive classroom atmosphere to help each child reach their full potential.


  • Oluchi Denis
    Goofy Class- Teaching Assistant

      Teaching Assistant professional with experience supporting the classroom teachers. She has an extensive background in working with children and hands-on experience with the EYFS curriculum. She contributes immensely to the development and management of goofy class. She possesses strong learning strategies in maths, loves planning and organizing special events and she is certified in Learning Strategy and Professionalism in teaching.


  • Melvis Okwumah
    Goofy Class- Teaching Assistant

      Melvis is a professional teaching assistant with a five year experience from the montessori system of education. She has worked with various children in early childhood and is starting her journey in the EYFS curriculum. She is a certified teacher in NCE and a degree holder in education. She has trainings from Disch Montessori Center Lagos as a Montessori Teacher Assistant and also from CGMS Florida. She contributes to improving children's learning and behavioural skills in Goofy class. She enjoys art and craft, setting up the class for indoor and outdoor activities and working with group/individual children.


  • Rita Vakpor
    Care giver

      Rita is a care giver with experience supporting the classroom teacher, has an extensive background in working with children and hands-on experience with the EYFS curriculum. She contributes immensely to the development and management of the whole class.

    Care giver

      Francisca is a care giver with experience supporting the classroom teacher, has an extensive background in working with children and hands-on experience with the EYFS curriculum.


  • Garuba Ali
    School Security

      Mr Garuba as he is fondly called, has been keeping Ikoyi Nursery School safe for the past 23 years. He is invested in the integrity and upkeep of the school. He is very sharp, tactful, professional and knows every child by their names. Garuba is a gem to the school and more importantly an essential part of the school legacy.


  • Mohammed Umar
    School Security

      Mohammed has been at the school for 14 years and works comfortably with Mr Garuba. While he is a bright and charming gentleman, he is very attentive to all school activities to ensure that Ikoyi Nursery School Children are safe and kept out of any unforeseen accidents.
