Ikoyi Nursery School isThriving With Excellence.

Ikoyi Nursery School (INS) is one of the oldest nursery schools in Lagos having been established seventy-four years ago in 1946 by a small group of parents who had a strong belief in the importance of a solid early educational foundation, and a commitment to creating an environment in which every child was recognized for his or her own unique attributes, and was able to flourish.

Since its establishment, Ikoyi Nursery School has maintained its small size and currently has forty-two students divided into three classes, all between the ages of two and five years. The school’s success through the years is based on a strong governance structure and the unwavering commitment from all its stakeholders who include its board of Trustees, its parents, and its staff.

INS Community is devoted to quality children care.

Ikoyi Nursery School (INS) is set up as a not-for-profit trust which is overseen by a board of trustees who are upstanding individuals in businesses and other circles. And although their own children graduated from the school years ago, the Trustees remain dedicated to the school by volunteering their time to ensure it continues to grow from strength to strength.

The day to day operations of the school is overseen by a volunteer parent committee and a dedicated staff. Many of the school’s teachers and staff, who are Nigerian have devoted most of their working lives to the school with some having been employed there for fifteen years and even twenty years or more. We are proud of our legacy.
